Mikel leads Nigeria’s training ahead of Algeria clash (photos)

Super Eagles of Nigeria on Tuesday morning, November 8, commenced training for Saturday’s 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Algeria.

Victory for Gernot Rohr’s men at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo will put them in good position to qualify for Russia. Chelsea duo of John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses were notable players who took part in the training.

Others that took part in the training were Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi, William Troost-Ekong, John Ogu, Leon Balogun, Kenneth Omeruo, Moses Simon, Odion Ighalo, Brown Ideye and Ahmed Musa.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s opponents in Saturday’s 2018 World Cup qualifying game, Algeria, will arrive in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital on Thursday, November 10. “The team will leave Algeria at 9 GMT (10am Nigerian time) on Thursday and arrive in Nigeria in the evening,” a source informed Complete Sports. “They’re planning to take a direct flight to Uyo.”
